Encrypt a note

Open a note and highlight the text you wish to encrypt.
Highlight the text and select "Encrypt Selected Text"
Enter a passphrase into the form. You will need to enter this passphrase whenever you attempt to decrypt this text. Do not forget this passphrase because Evernote does not store this information anywhere.

Once you have set the passphrase and confirm, the text will be encrypted

If you want to decrypt the text, click on the encrypted text and select 'Show encrypted text'. You will be prompted to enter your passphrase. You may also permanently decrypt the text using the same process.

While you can encrypt the text content in a note, you cannot encrypt an entire note or notebook.

Elders need Evernote more than ever

I started using Evernote back in January 2011. I was so impressed with the program that I started this Google blog.  This is the place where I can share some of the most exciting ways I have found to use Evernote. As time moved on in my life, I drifted away from use Evernote to store and organize information I could get to as I found use for it in my later life. The pace of life has slowed for me now, as I near my 83rd birthday. This slow down allowed me to realize once more how much I needed a way to organize all the materials, photos, information, and pearls of wisdom I was gathering as I had the time and interstate's in evolving to higher levels of consciousness. Wisdom, you might say.  So there it is, I do not want to misplace the massive amounts of material I now need as I take seriously the importance of evolving to a higher levels of consciousness. The solution - let Evernote be my partner - because I just don't want to work as hard as I did when I was younger.
